Their story

The Walsh
Brothers

Two Irish brothers, developed through the same boxing culture, competing in different divisions on a shared route towards championship contention.

Family

One household, two fighters

Boxing runs through the Walsh family. The brothers' father, Barry Walsh, was head coach at King's Heath Boxing Club in England before coaching at Sliabh Luachra in Castleisland, and both boys grew up around the gym. Liam laced up at nine or ten; Paddy, the elder, earned his “Pretty Boy” nickname from the flashy shorts he wore at thirteen.

The family connection has been confirmed repeatedly in direct interviews and specialist Irish boxing reporting. It needs no embellishment: two brothers, one set of standards, one connected journey.

The shared foundation

Same gym, same schooling

Both brothers are associated with Sliabh Luachra boxing club, both have trained under coach Tony Davitt, and both gained valuable rounds sparring the McKenna brothers — Stevie and Aaron — during joint camps. When their schedules aligned, they shared the same bills: Dublin in April 2023, Letterkenny in November 2023, Dublin again in October 2024 and Newark in March 2025.

Those overlapping cards are the commercial heart of the project: one travelling support, two fighters, two divisions and a story that renews itself every fight week.

The journey

Parallel paths, measured honestly

The Walsh Brothers story is told without hype. Each brother's record — setbacks included — is part of the pitch.

Foundations

A boxing family in Kerry

Two brothers raised around the gym, coached within a family that ran clubs in England and Kerry. Liam reports 42 amateur bouts and 37 wins; Paddy's documented amateur ledger includes Irish cadet and junior championship competition with Sliabh Luachra.

2021 · Liam turns professional

The Kingdom Kid begins

Liam debuts in Belfast in October 2021 and builds through England and Ireland, responding to two early draws with seven consecutive wins — four by stoppage — across Dublin, Letterkenny and Elche.

2023 · Paddy turns professional

Pretty Boy's apprenticeship

Paddy stops Vojtech Hrdý inside a round on debut at the National Stadium and moves steadily through nine straight wins, progressing from four-rounders to six.

March 2026 · First title test

Liam contests the Irish title

In his twelfth professional bout Liam challenges for the vacant BUI Irish middleweight title at the 3Arena. He is stopped in round seven by unbeaten Eoghan Lavin — a first defeat, and the clearest possible definition of the level he is chasing.

2026 and beyond

The next chapter

Liam rebuilds towards a September 2026 appearance at Co-op Live, Manchester. Paddy, unbeaten at 9–0, prepares for the step up to winning-record opposition after a scheduled Celtic-title contest in June 2026 did not take place. Two brothers, one mission — domestic honours first, then whatever their work earns.

The individuals

Distinct fighters, complementary careers

Liam — the pressure fighter

Describes himself as a calm pressure fighter who controls the centre, picks his shots and can work on the back foot. His career already holds genuine adversity — two draws, a rebuild, a title challenge — and his ambition follows the traditional Irish, European and world-title route.

Paddy — the technician

Unbeaten through nine contests with consistent round-winning across Ireland and England. He frames his early career as an apprenticeship and has spoken publicly about meeting domestic rivals at 135 or 140 lb. His next test — an active opponent with a winning record — begins the real evaluation.
